Star Wars Tie Fighter 3D Printed Model

If your a fan of Star Wars then your going to love this 3D Printed Tie Fighter model build, and if you want one for yourself but don’t have a 3D printer then you can buy one ready printed either assembled or for self assembly in my store. The model itself came from Bambu Labs Maker-world, you can download it and print it yourself from the following link.

Check out the video below to see the complete print and build process from start to finish.

This model is spread across multiple build plates so is easy to resize to however big you want to make it, this also allows you to select different colours for the various parts, as you can see i have used white for the main body and structure of the wings, black for the wing infills and black and red for the smaller parts of the body to give it some contrast. In the video you will also notice I have actually managed to fit the front of the body upside down, but there you go, and i couldn’t be bothered to try and break it open again having already glued it in. I have corrected the error in ones I have made for other people.

I generally buy most of my modelling consumables via amazon, mainly because of the prices and the super fast delivery, the only thing I needed for this build was a good glue that works well with PLA plastic, and I personally like superglue for these types of uses, you can get it on amazon in packs of three, see the link below.

You can also see i use an cutting matt this is because my work surfaces are glass and i always use matts on them to protect them, but they are generally a good idea for any craft work, where you care cutting or glueing etc to protect whatever work surface you have, even if it is the dining room table. The one in the video is an A3 which is probably the smallest size you want to go with.
